No. We support necessary and proportionate maintenance. The concern is whether closures are excessively long, unnecessarily broad, or insufficiently explained.
Is this a campaign by dog owners?
Responsible pet owners are part of the initiative, but this is not a dog park campaign and it does not seek exclusive access for pets. It concerns a shared lawn intended for the whole community.
Are you asking for the lawn to remain open all year without exception?
No. Repair, turf establishment, extreme weather, or a clear safety issue may justify temporary closure. We are asking for limited, proportionate closures with clear notices and objective reopening standards.
Why not simply contact the city?
Formal requests and direct contact with the city are part of the effort. Community feedback helps show that this is a broader public-space management issue rather than one person's complaint.
Can I participate anonymously?

Is this affiliated with a political party?
No. This is a resident-led, nonpartisan community initiative. We are willing to work with any elected representative or public agency that wants to improve the park.
Are you encouraging people to ignore closures?
No. The initiative is asking for a more reasonable, transparent, and evidence-based management approach. It does not encourage damaging facilities, entering areas with clear safety risks, or confronting other residents.
